Favorite Beatles Album

This seems like a fairly standard question to ask on The Beatles group page - What is your favorite Beatles album?

For me it is difficult to answer, because it is basically a 5-way tie.  If I were forced to choose, I would say that my favorite is Rubber Soul - Michelle and In My Life are two of the best songs from the album.

Hey Anthony,

Yes, Hard Day's Night was one of the albums that was in my 5-way tie.  Good choice!

Best regards,
Jay

I love the Beatles. My favorite, and I own the original album, "St. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band". I have the calendar of it for 2008, and other items in my office. Every age group can sing along with their songs.

Thanks for asking a great question.

Hi Jay ... That is such a difficult question.  Okay! Sgt. Pepper's ....  Although a number of my favorites are on other albums, this is my favorite all around enjoyable album.  BTW, I saw them!

Probably Rubber Soul or Revolver.  Changes over time.  They were so prolific, and so good, it is hard to pick one--or five.

Magical Mystery Tour was definitely an underrated album and movie!

Jay,   Have over 250 cds/records on these guys in my collection.  I will never forget the energy, power and excitement that came over me the first time " I want to hold your hand " was played on radio ( KYA in SF.).  It was as if something changed in our universe and for the better.  Saw them at the Cow Palace in '64.  The screaming was so loud I could hardly hear them and it still didn't matter.   Rubber Soul, Abbey Road my Favorites.

Hey Kim, I thought my collection was impressive, but 250+ is incredible!  Would you happen to have the Yesterday & Today butcher cover album?

Posted by Jay Allen - MovieVoice (MovieVoice Production Co.) about 1 year ago

Yes I do,   Also have first 5 lps in mono and stereo, black capitol label.   Also have every studio recording including every outtake recorded...If you like I can make a few Cd's for you with unreleased stuff....

I refuse to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me as a Beatles fan. LOL

Since 1965, every new album that The Beatles put out was my favorite. Then, for some reason, they quit putting out albums of new material and resorted to albums of collections, "never-before-released" material, alternate takes, etc.

I never could decide which was my favorite, so I finally created my own. It's called "Russel's album of his favorite songs by The Beatles, Volumes 1 through 10." It has all their songs except... Nope, it has that one. Uh, except... Nope, it has that one, too. Hmmmmm. That's right, I didn't like.... Nope, I decided I did like it. Hmmmm. I guess it has all their songs on it.

Maybe I could answer the question by telling you which three albums I always take on vacation with me. In chronological order just so you don't think I have a favorite:

  • Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
  • The Beates
  • Abbey Road

I have a new favorite Beatles album! It's 79:52 long! It's awesome but extremely rare since there is only one copy. The title is "Russel Ray's favorite Beatles music."

I want to hold your hand...is still my favorite.
