The Impossible Question... Favorite Beatles Song(s)

We've started the discussion on favorite Beatles albums - now for the songs (an impossible question).

The first 10 favorite songs that came to my mind are:  A Day in the Life, Eight Days a Week, Eleanor Rigby, Helter Skelter, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Let It Be, In My Life, Things We Said Today, You Never Give Me Your Money, Yesterday.

I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks!

Best regards,
Jay

Hi Jay - I think Let it Be and The Long and Winding Road are among my very favorite Beatles tunes.

Totally impossible!

However once again, for the one most memorably adhered to my psyche, it has to be 'She Loves You ..yeah, yeah, yeah...........' (somehow that doesn't carry in type does it?)

At 13 when this song first came out, my friends used to sing that everywhere we went, at school, walking down the street. Then we'd swoon into giggles!

That is impossible.  There is no way.  I love all of them.  The Long and Winding Road is one of my favorites.  Always tugs at my heart when I hear it.  But I love so many of their songs for so many different reasons!  Revolution, Here Comes the Sun, Because... Nope, can't pick, sorry!

this is my new favorite group

Eleanor Rigby is probably my favorite, but I do love Long & Winding Road and so many others.

Jay, this is so hard ....to choose just one song?, I can't do it either. I do know that the first Beatles song I was conciously aware of as a girl was I Want To Hold Your Hand. They're still my favorite group (and I'm glad you started this group!)

It has always depended on my mood. Currently "Something" is on the top of my list, but I usually feel like "You know my Name, Look up the number" is where I am at :)

Probably because George's work in the seventies was more consistent than his peers, I had the tendency to prefer his songs on the Beatle records. I just associated with him more.

One of these days I'm going to sit down and play the A-B game.

Which do I like better?

A - Hey Jude
B - Let It Be

Maybe not. I can't even choose between those two. Let's say that I chose Hey Jude. Then it goes:

Which do I like better?

A - Hey Jude
B - Come Together

There I go again. I can't choose. Let's say that I chose Come Together. Then it goes:

Which do I like better?

A - Come Together
B - A Day In The Life

Darn it. Stuck again.

I quit. It would take me the rest of my life to choose my favorite song. I'll just keep listening to all of them as I'm driving down the highway.
