Since "W" enjoys holding hands with Middle Eastern leaders, the following should not come as a surprise...
The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/08/05/AR2008080502493.html?hpid=topnews) is reporting that while the United States continues to go deeper into debt and continues to pump billions of dollars into Iraq, Iraq will show a budget surplus of fifty billion dollars. Just last week it was reported that the United States will have a budget deficit of nearly a half-trillion dollars (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gMSVWqL3tikhx7L_ompt0hDXO-5AD92792JG1).
What do you think?

The last time I checked, George W Bush was the president of the United States, not the dictator of Cuba. George W Bush did not spend 1 red cent on anything that was not approved by the legislative body of the united States, and any one who thinks he did is a moron. The President of the USA does not make sweeping decisions, and further more he does not spend American money all by himself. Bush may have suggested, even lobbied for spending, but he was never alone in this spending.
I think that I would not beleive anything written by the Washington post
Jay,
I think this is a great example of a fiscal conserative in action, don't you?
@ Jon: yep, it was dumb of the Congress to believe the President when he implied or outright stated that Iraq had something to do with 9/11.
@Thomas: of course, don't believe anything written by the Wall Street Journal.
Here are today's headlines, which, according to your logic, I am sure are all lies.
* McCain sets plan for split leadership - a lie, I'm sure, although they quote portions of his speech.
* Regulators shut Silver State Bank - the WSJ quotes the FDIC, but I'm sure it's all made up.
* Zardari wins Pak** istan's Presidency - another fig newton of the WSJ's imagination.
* Bush to unviel decision on Iraq Troop Levels - yup, you guessed it, more lies.
