Good News, Palin is not a Witch!

According to the Associated Press, 3 years ago, Sarah Palin was blessed to be free from witchcraft.  Some people might defend Palin by translating "witchcraft" to mean "the devil".  However, the fact is, witchcraft should be about as foreign to McCain's base (i.e. Christian Conservatives) as the Nation of Islam.

Let's recap - Two monumentally bad headlines for Palin in two days...
1) McCain has suspended his campaign, because Palin can't run it.
2) She believes in witchcraft.

So, she's got a couple of negative marks in the past couple of days, but by golly, she can still blow a moose's head off.

Can anyone honestly still support Palin?

Best regards,
Jay

Jay - Maybe we can arrange a hunting trip with Sarah and Dick Cheney.

This whole campaign just gets weirder and weirder. i can only imagine if this same preacher had been Obama's minister...

I wish both sides would try and focus on issues but it is not to be!

John, I don't know about Palin's aim, but you'd definitely need to practice ducking with Cheney!  Of course, Palin has gained lots of experience ducking reporters for the past month.

I am glad to hear she is not a witch but how do we really know?  Seriously, I am having a hard time getting behind any of them.

Well, I'm not at all fond of Palin - but I must say that she's got to be a better shot than Cheney!

Hugh, this messenger has no crack pipe.  What do you think Palin was smoking to attend a church that has anything to do with witchcraft?

Jay, I'd like to know your top 10 reasons why Obama/Liberalism is the best choice and do it without going negative or mentioning McCain, Palin, Bush etc.

So many blogs are so angry these days. Sell me on Liberalism.

Carl, here's compromise... for time's sake, you give me your top 5 reasons for McCain/Palin "without going negative or mentioning" Obama, Biden, Clinton etc.  And I'll give you 5 for Obama/Biden.

Posted by Jay Allen - MovieVoice (MovieVoice Production Co.) about 1 year ago

Nicholas ~ you would have to be losing your entire mind to not understand what I am talking about. If you found out your child's babysitter believed in witchcraft, would you leave your child with that person? No! So, why in the world would you vote for a presidential ticket that has a person, such as Palin, that believes in witchcraft?

Jay, Some information for those who don't know what you are referring to.

Palin blessed to ward off 'witchcraft' in church ceremony in June, 2005

Published Date: 25 September 2008

By DAVID GUNNUS

Vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin is seen being blessed in church by a pastor praying for her protection from "witchcraft" in a video that appeared on YouTube. The video shows Republican candidate Ms Palin standing before Kenyan bishop Thomas Muthee, a witch hunt preacher from Kenya at the front of the Wasilla Assembly of God church, in Alaska, holding her hands open as he asked Jesus Christ to keep her safe from "every form of witchcraft".

Mr Muthee said, as two attendants placed their hands on Ms Palin's shoulders: "Come on, talk to God about this woman. We declare, save her from Satan.

                                  ***********************

Having been a member of the Pentecostal Faith many yeas ago I understand how radical their behavior is and sometimes taken to the far extreme. To the secular world it is abhorrent to say the least.

Christians attack Reverend Wright's behavior with NO Compassionate UNDERSTANDING as to how Blacks in this country could possibly harbor fear or resentment about the white man killing, kidnapping, enslaving ancestors, rape. abuse, torture, KKK, and on and on the list goes of the atrocities committed against the black community at large even today.

But now that this News about Palin comes to light the same ones condemning Wright will no doubt protect Palin.

I see ZERO comparison between what Rev. Wright was saying and what I just saw on this You Tube video.  As a Christian, if someone is going to ask God to protect me from witchcraft or any other evil, that is fine with me.  Linda, as a Christian, you should know about the ways of the evil one.  Maybe you do not need help being protected from Satan, huh?

Sure thing Jay. Here are my top 5 reasons for being a conservative/libertarian.

1) I believe that the Constitution should be followed and that there should be limited government and more emphasis on individual choice and individual freedoms. We are losing individual freedoms everyday it seems. It's very annoying.

2) Low taxes. Not just income taxes but property taxes, sales taxes etc. Government is too big. We need to shrink it.

3) The private sector and the free market does things much more effectively than the government does. The government tends to waste money, and screw things up once they get involved.

4) I like my BILL OF RIGHTS especially the 2nd amendment. Conservatives and Libertarians support the 2nd amendment more than others.

5) I believe that capitalism is a good thing. Conservatives and Libertarians tend to be more pro capitalism.

I supported Ron Paul. I would consider voting 3rd party but I believe so strongly against Liberalism that I have to vote against Obama. Palin seems to be the most Conservative out of all 4 of them so that's where my vote is likely to go.

As a whole I see our country headed towards Socialism and it's scary. I'd like to vote out every single person, Republican and Democrat, in Washington and start over.

Posted by Carl Ostenson (Ostenson Group) about 1 year ago

Carl,

Good start!  I am with you on voting most out and starting over.  I say most because there has to be atleast 1% that are OK.

Jay's turn!

Posted by John Hersey, e-PRO Realtor (Prudential Bob Yost Homesale Services) about 1 year ago

Carl, in no particular order, here is a list of 5 reasons to vote for Obama...

  1. A President should be exceptionally intelligent. Obama graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School.
  2. Obama has a thorough understanding of the constitution and taught Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago.
  3. Obama understands what it is like to be poor.
  4. He is committed to universal health care.
  5. He opposed the war in Iraq.
Posted by Jay Allen - MovieVoice (MovieVoice Production Co.) about 1 year ago

John - you know as well as I do (or anyone else reading this), that there is a distinct difference between the vast majority of churches that preach against the evils of Satan/the devil and those that recognize witchcraft. Praying against witchcraft is as bizarre as praying to be protected from the boogeyman, leprechauns or Freddy Kruger.

Let me ask again, if you learned that your child's babysitter believed in witchcraft, would you leave your child with that person? No! So, why in the world would you vote for a presidential ticket that had a person, such as Palin, that believes in witchcraft?

Posted by Jay Allen - MovieVoice (MovieVoice Production Co.) about 1 year ago

Well, here it is in the Bible.  Galations 5:19  I am sure people believe in it.

19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

How about Wiccans?  Do they believe?

Posted by John Hersey, e-PRO Realtor (Prudential Bob Yost Homesale Services) about 1 year ago

So, you are defending Palin's belief in witchcraft.  What about McCain's sexual immorality?  What about McCain's financial gain from drunkenness?

Posted by Jay Allen - MovieVoice (MovieVoice Production Co.) about 1 year ago

Carl, as we agreed, I stayed all positive, with my post of 5 reasons to vote for Obama. Now, I would like to make a comparison between Obama and McCain from my 1st reason.

As I stated, a President should be exceptionally intelligent. Obama demonstrated that he is exceptionally intelligent by graduating Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School. It is probably about equally as difficult to be admitted to Harvard as it is to the Naval Academy. However, McCain's father and grandfather were Navy Admirals, so McCain probably didn't need to rely on ability or intellect to gain admittance to the Naval Academy. Ultimately, McCain graduated 894 of 899.

It would be interesting to see how many of those 893 individuals, that graduated above him, would have selected Palin as their running mate.

Posted by Jay Allen - MovieVoice (MovieVoice Production Co.) about 1 year ago

Jay,

I am not defending anyone.  Just showing you what is in the Bible about the subject.  Why you bring McCain up, I don't know.  You wanted to know who takes this seriously.  I told you.

How about those Wiccans??

Also, in other countries they have a funny way of believing things like this and taking it VERY serious.  I have heard some crazy stories from Missionaries in other parts of the world.

Posted by John Hersey, e-PRO Realtor (Prudential Bob Yost Homesale Services) about 1 year ago

To be fair, the pastor who was praying was asking for protection from witchcraft for her, and while that shows that he believes in witchcraft it doesn't show that Palin does.

Posted by Leslie Prest, Prest Realty, Sales and Rentals in Payson, AZ about 1 year ago

Jay,

Also, believing in something and practicing it are two different things, if that is where you were going.

Posted by John Hersey, e-PRO Realtor (Prudential Bob Yost Homesale Services) about 1 year ago

Hey Jay. Yes we did stay positve. I like it much better. I like the battle of ideas instead of the bashing of people much better.

I'm sure Obama is very smart. I don't doubt that fact and I don't hate him as an individual.

But I honestly, truly, without a doubt would take a C student conservative over an A++++++ liberal any day of the week. Their basis for making decisions and their entire mindset is more along what I believe in.

Now my one problem with many conservatives (Republicans mainly) is the war. Why are we the police of the world? It is impossible for other countries to not get annoyed with us. We have our military everywhere and butt our noses into everyones business. Yet when you bring up that point, most Republicans will say "So are you saying it's our fault for September 11th!" I think that is such a stupid argument they make. They can't even admit that maybe our involvement EVERYWHERE had a least a little bit to do with it.

But why hasn't Congress ended it? The Dems ran on that platform and really have not done anything to stop it. I wish they would have.

The thought of Universal Healthcare scares me. I like the idea that WalMart and Walgreens have been doing. A clinic that you pay for out of pocket for the little things. I don't view healthcare as a right. If you give it away for free people will use more than they need and we'll will have shortages.

Good talk Jay.

You have stated both simply and eloquently exactly what I feel ...I would like to see just for once the reasons I should vote for Obama without binging up the opposition...ie specifics.   This is where Obama has continued to be  weak.

I vote for Obama because-

1. Obama believes that prosperity comes from the bottom, up, not from the top down.

2. Obama believes every child should have equal access to a good edcuation

3. He believes there should be more Tranparency in the government

4. He believes in ending this money hole, death trap in Iraq

5. He believes Universal Healthcare - everyone deserves to be covered

6. Taking better care of our veterns

7. He had real sloutions to slow down the negative effects of global warming.

There several other reasons but it's Friday night and time for me to unwind.

But that's exactly what Sarah Palin did just 3 years ago ON VIDEO.  AND she credits her success to this experience.

Jay,

Now you and I both know if a woman thought she was a witch we would immediately be called "Jealous" and "Envious" and a man would be called "Blind" and "Stupid".

Of course she believes 100% in witchcraft. I was in the Pentecostal Church for 22 years and EVERYTHING that is Not of God and Scripture is Demonized and Witchcraft.

Pentecostals have a firm belief in oppression and possession of human beings by demons and believe in the exorcism of these demons from people by the laying on of hands, prayer and fasting. They are a usual, not unusual, occurance in Pentecostal churches. She was receiving prayer to stop the spiritual attacks of witchcraft against her.

To those outside this religion it is scary stuff and believe me it can be quite a scene. I have witnessed many deliverance's at the alter of these churches where demons appear to be coming out of people screaming and wallowing in their own vomit. It is FAR from a joke to a believing Pentecostal.

Palin is not someone I would Trust to have her finger on a Nuclear Trigger under ANY circumstance. PALIN DOES NOT VIEW THE WORLD AS the Majority of Americans do.

Anyone who doubts this needs to attend a true Pentecostal Church this Sunday and see for themselves.

Posted by Linda Mae McCannon (928) 768-3040 about 1 year ago

Linda,

Are Pentecostals Christians in your eyes?  If so, why the judgement?  Just curious.

Posted by John Hersey, e-PRO Realtor (Prudential Bob Yost Homesale Services) about 1 year ago

John,

Yes, Pentecostals are Christians. I still pray in tongues even though I no longer attend Pentecostal Church. BUT they do have a way of BELIEVING they KNOW more about God than Non-denominational, Baptist, Catholic and other Christ based church goers that are ALSO Christians because they are "Spirit filled.

In my 22 years in church 5 times a week every week I taught Sunday School, preached from the pulpit in the Friday night services. I also was heavily involved as a Deliverance minister for five years and moved in the spiritual annointing of Discernment and Healing. We JUDGED everyone that didn't believe like us. We spent  a lot of time trying to convert Baptists and Catholics because we Pentecostals believed they were DEAD wrong because they didn't accept speaking in tongues and believed once saved always saved no matter what they did and a number of other things we disagreed about.. It became so radical I chose to leave after weeping in the Spirit and realizing they were breaking the very heart of God BECAUSE they were SO JUDGMENTAL against anyone that didn't believe like them.

PENTECOSTALS do not know as much as they think they do in my own personal opinion. I have spent the past 17 years between Baptist and non denominational attendance and find their God far more loving, peaceful and receptive in a far less emotional and far more faith grounded  way to the Word of God.

Even though Pentecostals are Christian there is a VERY fine line between them and the OCCULT and some cross over or fall over that invisible line without even noticing.

Sorry Jay, for the lenghty answer but Palin is Pentecostal and many people know little to nothing about the inner workings of the Pentecostal Church.

This campaign has been the longest, most exasperating and frustrating trial of endurance I have ever experienced.  I don't know if I am going to make it to election day without my head exploding.  MAKE IT STOP!

She can take that mumbo jumbo back to Alaska with her.

Like I said if this was a black preacher praying against witchcraft over Obama he would has been put on the first flight to Haiti.
