Watch this Actor Portray a Candidate in Campaign TV Ad

This is the first campaign ad that I've seen with an actor portraying a candidate. In Kentucky there is a very entertaining, negative campaign, by both parties, for Mitch McConnell's seat in the U.S. Senate.

This 30 second ad features an actor portraying Mitch McConnell. In the commercial, McConnell, who is the Senate Minority Leader, is being chased through the woods by hound dogs to find his "record".

What do you think of this ad?

Best regards,
Jay

The ad is cleverly done, Jay.  From the perspective of a political ad, I like it.

I have a higher opinion of Mitch McConnell than that - but he certainly has a fight in his hands to keep his seat in Congress.  You are local to the area, Jay, what is your opinion of the Senator and his prospects ?

Ted, I have mixed emotions. I believe that 24 years is more than enough time for a person to serve in any elected office. However, being from Kentucky, I like the idea that McConnell has seniority and more authority than his opponent would have as a freshman Senator.
