Writer's Block Anyone?

Happy December 1st!

Just a month ago, I had an almost endless supply of "explosive" political blog ideas - and blog posts. Today, I have many more ideas, but nothing that strikes me as interesting, unique or as "explosive" as it was before the election. Does anyone else feel this way?

In the month leading to the election, here's some of my personal favorites...

McCain wants Obama to Win

Bush may Deserve Nobel Peace Prize

More Taxes = Fewer Abortions

Palin Still Doesn't Know What the VP Does

The Rich... Tax Them Before it's too Late

Colin Powell Endorses Obama

What many are Really Saying about Obama

Why not Endorse Barack Obama?

HUSSEIN

Did Obama Cheat on his Wife with a Rich, Thieving, Drug Addict?

Palin's lapel pin was bigger than Biden's - Other than that, Biden won by a Landslide.

Have you ever heard of Fox News, CNN, Newsweek, or The Washington Post?

What are your thoughts?

Best regards,
Jay

Robert, that's funny - and thanks for your comment.  If someone else wrote this blog, I might have responded in a similar fashion.

Jay - You could write about Real Estate but shoot, that's pretty boring as well.  I followed along in one of the more passionate Presidential Campaigns of modern history, in my view.  It was interesting to say the least.  You were a voice, a "deep, powerful, confident and calming" voice.  Well, not really... but I enjoyed you stirring the pot now and again.

My idea, not a cure per se, for writer's block with those who like to wax political, is pretty simple.  Write a plethora of blogs about an abundance of issues if you were in charge.  Forget everything else (Parties, Controversey, Popularity, etc), what would you be doing if the ultimate decision was yours?  Health Care, Abortion, The Tax Code, Economics, Education, Domestic Policy, Foreign Policy, War, Gay Marriage, The Environment, Hunger, Poverty, Inflated Compensation in Corporate America, Frivilous Lawsuits, Sodamy, over-priced Steeler Tickets at a Rooney lunch-in and such.

Sounds to me like a step in a direction... not sure if it is right or wrong.

Try taking pictures, and writing about your community.

Jason, you had me at "deep, powerful, confident" etc...!  It would have been much easier the way you described.

Steven, that's a good idea.

I feel like I have had writer's block lately.  I am blaming it on how busy I have been.

I've notice that we've seen far less of many bloggers here on AR since the election.  They're probably alot like you - found the political posts to be more responsive as far as comments from others, and spent so much time on them that they lost the feel for writing about real estate.

Look inside. Have you tried meditation? You'd be amazed the clarity that comes to mind once you do. Pray, listen - Watch - others helping others. Read -I've started UK' Gordon Brown's book on individual who exemplify courage

Oh, I could give you some suggestions. It's only rather boring now to most liberals and Obama lovers. They are just waiting for the miracles after January 20th. You could also write about the gutless wonders who ran their companies into the ground and are now having to suck up to congress for a loan from tax payers--there's some pretty hilarious stuff you could write--picture all these guys in their little cars driving to Washington DC. I wonder who pumped their gas when they had to fill up?

All the best my friend

Jay, your writers block is a good thing.  It means all is going to be well.  However, Sarah Palin is still blathering about nothing all over the airwaves, that might provide you with something interesting to blog about.  I personally am waiting for the miracles after January 20th.  The miracle that we have an articulate, thoughtful, intelligent, well spoke man in the White House.  The miracle that our president did not feel the need to surround himself with cronies.  The miracle that one day soon we won't need to die for lack of healthcare.   The miracle that we will bring home our troops and get them out of harms way.  The miracle that Blackwater employees will most likely be prosecuted for killing 17 innocent Iraqis at an intersection, solely because they were in a hurry and couldn't wait for the traffic to clear. The miracle that we probably won't have to hear Sarah Palin blathering about nothing, at least for a while. The miracles are a comin Jay.  I for one can't wait!!!!!
